Bio:
Torgny Roxå is, since 1988, an academic developer at the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in Sweden. His focus is Strategic Educational Development using a socio-cultural approach. He has won the Lund University award for distinguished pedagogical achievements and has also been recognized as an Excellent Teaching Practitioner. He has served as an external examiner for the Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching at Oxford University and as a workshop leader in numerous occasions. He is currently appointed Honorary Fellow at the University of Ulster. 2011 to 2014 he was elected as Vice President (Europe) of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Bio:
Gregory Light is the director of the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence and a professor in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. He completed his PhD (in higher Education) at the University of London in the UK where he was a faculty member of the Lifelong Learning Group at the Institute of Education.His teaching and research focuses on the theory and practice of learning, teaching and assessment in higher and professional education. He has published over 50 papers and chapters in national and international peer-reviewed publications and given over 100 invited talks, workshops and conference presentations in North & South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He is the author, with Susanna Calkins, of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education: The Reflective Professional (Sage 2001, 2009);and,with Marina Micari, ofMaking Scientists: Six Principles for Effective College Teaching (Harvard University Press, 2013).
